Pet Boarding Policies

Cancellation Policy

Ponderosa Pet Resort requires a 2 DAY cancellation notice on all non-holiday boarding reservations. Failure to properly cancel can result in a fee equal to 2 nights’ stay of the lodging package you reserved. Special consideration will, of course, be given to emergency situations.  When reservations aren’t cancelled in the proper time, it prevents us from booking that space to another customer.

Our cancellation policy during HOLIDAY BOARDING is 5 DAYS. Failure to do so can result in a fee equal to a 3-Night Stay of the lodging package reserved.

Please be kind to us, and we’ll do the same in return. We understand things can change.

Ponderosa Pet Resort will be closed for the following holidays. Our staff will be on-site taking great care of your pet, but the office will be closed.

Major Holiday Boarding

We are now requiring that all boarding reservations for Thanksgiving and Christmas be made through our online system.  This will better help us to manage deposits, cancelations, etc. in a more efficient way.  We invite you to use our CUSTOMER PORTAL.  Here you can access your online account with us, make boarding and daycare reservations, update vaccinations, emergency contacts, receive pet updates and more.  Check it out!

During major holiday periods, not all of our boarding options may be available.  Certain lodging types book up faster than others and may limit what is available.

Holiday boarding requires a valid credit card on file.  You can securely store your credit card info through your customer portal.

If booking for the Thanksgiving or Christmas holiday, a 3-night minimum stay is required. During the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, we completely book up and have a substantial waiting list.  It is imperative that proper cancellation policies are followed so that any client who is on a waiting list can be accommodated. If policies are not respected, your credit card will be charged the equivalent of 3 nights stay in the accommodations that you had requested.  We appreciate you understanding and respecting our policies.

Due to increased demand and labor costs during the holidays and certain peak occupancy periods, please note our $5/night price adjustment per pet during the following peak holiday times:
